Read Aloud/Book Discussions

One of our favorite things to do over the Summer is to read books together with book discussions. You may do this all school year long and that is awesome! But as a larger family with a lot of littles, fitting in a read aloud while we are working hard each day just to finish up school for 4+ kids doesn’t usually work for us. My compromise is that I pick a few books to read aloud with my kids over the Summer. I am thoughtful about the books I choose, and I also purchase book discussion guides for those chosen books, and while we may try one or two activities, we at least make sure to answer questions after we read each day!
